How to build your SYMC 2014 schedule:


  • Create an account or Log-in if you have created one in past years.

  • Then click the star to add a session to your SYMC schedule.

  • To VIEW, PRINT, or SHARE click "My Schedule" under your name and profile image.

  • CHANGE VIEW TYPE by clicking on "Schedule" and selecting from the dropdown options Tips to finding the right sessions for you and your team.

  • FIND A SPEAKER by using the search option.

  • FILTER BY SESSION TYPE by clicking the dots in the right rail

Session 1: Into the World: Youth Workers and Culture: The Youth Culture Landscape;Cultural change is speeding up—whether you’re 81, 41, or 21, the teenagers you know and love are growing up in a world very different from the one you grew up in. As cross-cultural missionaries called to point teenagers to the cross, it’s not only necessary to know the Word we communicate, but we must also know the cultural context and nuances of the world we’re called to reach. In this track, we’ll unpack some of the major cultural trends shaping young people today and lead you into an understanding of how those trends should inform and shape our ministry response.
